This is me.
I'm a thirty-something gamer who has been in the game as long as I can remember. Since my time in college, I've been working from startups to AAA projects to create ideal spaces for gamers and gamified environments. Outside of work, I fancy the occasional IPA and a spicy slice of pizza. I'm currently residing in Texas with my family.
Account Relationships
As Program Manager at Trivie, Inc, (a SaaS gamification company) my role was to work alongside developers to ensure product creation and direction were always in favor of the customer's needs. I invested my time in learning Python logic to create a stronger knowledge of the product, which aided in my ability to better collaborate with and troubleshoot issues with our development team.
As Dallas Secretary and Southwest Guild Administrator at Extra-Life: I worked directly with groups, smaller organizations, and big companies to create events and fill needs where they could expand and grow their charity earnings. I worked with Microsoft on our local events, and through my personal connections - set up a lifetime connection with Quakecon, who would choose Extra-Life as one of their main sponsored charities for years to come.
Outside of the gaming industry, I worked in Procurement and Inventory Management for 3 years in the hosting industry at Softlayer IBM and more to manage assets, vendors, procurement operations, and logistic relationships. Everything from customer hardware to vendor software licenses. Additionally, I had an amazing job as an Operation Manager at Free Play Arcade here in DFW. My main role was to manage the location's entire staff team as well as all of our vendor relationships. As a buyer for our bar, managing relationships with local breweries and our alcohol vendors to ensure we always had access to the best products.
The knowledge set from these jobs has served me well in my continued management of vendor and client relations.
Community Management
Before my time with PUBG Esports, I spent two years as a Reddit Moderator and Discord Moderator for the official PUBG channels, helping run the AAA community of over 100,000 Discord users and 1,000,000 Reddit users. Additionally, I helped support the Girl Boss PUBG Tournament, a female-focused tournament that encouraged women of all skills to find their strengths and confidence in competition. I also helped the Collegiate Battlegrounds Association, producing two seasons of competition for collegiate players.
The PUBG Community team and I have collaborated many times. From hosting custom games with the developers, casting tournaments and charity events, and even aiding in content creation for Tiktok and their official Socials.
I was Dallas Secretary and also the Southwest Guild Admin for the
Extra-Life charity supporting Children's Miracle Network and the Children's Health & Cook's Children's hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth. My roles included creating marketable relationships with local events, businesses, and people. As well as helping other areas start and grow support for their hospitals. I'm passionate about charity and love being involved in giving back to my local
hospitals and saving the kids.
Event Organization
I started my Esports career working behind the scenes at Quakecon, one of the world's largest and longest LAN events. Starting in 2009, I spent my time working primarily with the main tournament organizers as admin staff for the official Quake Esports tournament operations.
My jobs have ranged varied, from teaching hired booth professionals how to play the games they're showcasing, to being a player-wrangler and admin. I progressed into leadership roles such as the Play Lead for BYOC Tournaments and the Director of Cosplay during its inaugural year as a judged and prized event.
My time at Quakecon was one of community, creation, and people management. It takes a village to put on an event as massive as this. And to this day, I continue to consider this event my family and home.
Broadcasting
For the last 3 years, my full-time job transitioned out of community support and into broadcasting and public relations. The majority of my pro-tier broadcasting work has been with PUBG Esports, the NA & EMEA PUBG Community Teams, ESL, Starladder & FreeFire. I've worked on titles such as PUBG: Battlegrounds, PUBG: New State, Free Fire Mobile & Quake. While my specialty is primarily in battle royales and shooters, I'm open to promoting all titles.
Outside of pro-tier esports, I've worked on broadcasts for PUBG Reddit's Spring and Summer Leagues, Reddit Community Customs, Girl Boss PUBG, and the Collegiate Battleground Association. I've also used my voice in support of the official Extra-Life broadcasts for PUBG, as well as Chicken 4 Charity benefiting Special Effect.
Please feel free to take a look at my Casting Credits and Contact pages to learn more about me and to book me for your next event.
Graphic Design & Illustration:
I've been creating graphics for social media content, as well as awards, advertisements, and printable illustrations is something I've enjoyed. Having gone to college for art, my tools of the trade are predominantly Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and my Wacom Cintiq tablet.
Some of the below include posts for Twitter to advertise or promote PUBG Esports, Creating OBS overlays for productions, and imitating brand designs for collaborations (Free Play Arcade + Noble Ray) and holidays (Tupps Brewery).
